Hi, I’m Calvin

I’m a writer, flaneur, and certified surf bum, still figuring it all out. I started calvinrosser.com in 2017 to help 10 million people live a more fulfilling life. That mission led to a sea of essays, newsletters, and podcasts that reached millions of people.

But my motivations have shifted with time. When I started this work, I wanted to become a best-selling author, captivating speaker, or internet sage. Now all of those labels sound like youthful hokum to me.

These days, I’m drawn to simpler things — chasing waves, nurturing my body, deepening friendships, being a good husband, and finding equanimity in the everyday.

While my focus has evolved, I’m still stoked to share the bits of wisdom that I stumble upon as I try to navigate this wild world with a bit more grace.
